Delete your Typeping account and associated data

This page explains how to delete your Typeping account and the associated personal data. It applies to the Typeping app for Android and iOS, the Typeping TV app and the Typeping website.

The controller is Typeping, Austria, email privacy@typeping.tv.

Delete your account in the app

You can delete your account yourself at any time, without asking us. Deletion takes effect immediately.

• In the smartphone app: "Account" section, then "Permanently delete account".

• In the web app at https://typeping.tv: "Account & Subscription" section, then "Permanently delete account".

Sign in with the method the account was created with (email and password, or "Sign in with Google"). After you confirm, the account and its data are deleted with no further steps.

Data that is deleted

• Profile: email address, display name, internal user ID and login credentials

• all device links (pairings) between your account and TVs

• your registered mobile devices and their push tokens

• all input sessions and any transmitted text input and remote-control commands

• your privacy and consent settings

TV installations shared with other accounts remain in place for those other accounts. The TV app itself only stores a random installation identifier with no personal reference; you can unlink it on the TV under "Accounts", then "Remove".

Data that is retained

• Billing and tax records for Premium subscriptions: required by law, generally seven years in Austria, kept under a restricted-access hold during that period

• Backups: deleted data may remain in restricted-access backups for up to 30 days and is not returned to production use

• Technical logs at Cloudflare and Supabase: at most 30 days, unless a specific security incident requires longer retention

Cancel an active Premium subscription first

A Typeping Premium subscription is processed through Stripe Managed Payments and does not end automatically when the account is deleted. Cancel an active subscription before deletion via the associated Link account in the Stripe checkout.
